Nothing like Festvial form

Cinders And Ashes, Alfie Sherrin, Rock On Ruby, Balthazar King and Quevaga who where all victorious on the opening day of last years Festival all look primed to the minute to follow up at this years Festival with the brilliant Quevaga chasing a amazing 5th win in the Mares Hurdle and Rock On Ruby bidding to follow up last years triumph in the Champion Hurdle on the opening day of the greatest show on turf.

Year after year horses who have been successful at past Festivals have returned to form after showing indifferent form during the winter months so its always worth noting any horses with past form at the meeting with Son Of Filka who after showing nothing prior to Cheltenham returning to form with a vengeance to land the gamble of the meeting in the Coral Cup at last years Festival.

Donald McCain the trainer of Champion Hurdle candidate Cinders And Ashes has stated recently that Cinders And Ashes will be a different horse on better ground at the Festival as he looks to add to his win in last years Supreme Novice Hurdle where he defeated the brilliant but sadly ill fated Darlan capping a undefeated novice hurdle campaign. He will come up against last years Champion Hurdle winner Rock On Ruby who has had a light campaign this season owing to very wet winter and he looks nailed not to put up another big performance.

Alfie Sherrin winner of the JLT Handicap Chase last year has a number of entries at the meeting and its worth noting he has has a almost identical campaign to last year and has run to a similar level as he did prior to his 14/1 victory last year so you can be sure Jonjo O'Neill with have this former Festival winner primed for what ever race he selects this JP McManus owned gelding.

Balthazar King bid to repeat last years win in the Cross Country Chase and despite be guaranteed to face a strong Irish challenge there is no reason why he cannot repeat last years win tho one negative could be that last years Cross Country was run on Firm ground which it certainly wont be this year.

Quevaga bid join Golden Miller as a 5 time Festival winner and as per usual she will make her seasonal reappearance at the Festival and bar any misfortune she looks one of the Festival bankers.
